Monkstown Valley

By building mulit-style homes in one area increased the opportunity for people to find the perfect home for them, whether single occupency or a larger family. We wanted to achieve this to create a community where people can come together.

I felt it was also important for people to have their own entrance, so all homes here, no matter the size (with the acception of the apartment blocks of course) have their own front door. 

​

The concept here was that people can have affordable, smaller living accomodation in Monkstown which has the same privacy and ownership as other more traditional style homes built at this time.

​

Inspired by nature we called the different styles after trees eg The, Willows or The Poplars. 

​

This proved and still proves to be a very popular living option.
